Refunds & Cancellation

This page sets expectations for buyers while WinTravel finalizes the exact cancellation and refund rules with its insurance and assistance partners.

Before issuance

If payment has been made but eligibility cannot be confirmed or required documents cannot be issued, WinTravel should either request additional information or process a refund according to the approved business rules.

After issuance

Once a certificate, membership card or coverage confirmation has been issued, refunds or cancellations may be restricted by the policy terms, start date, travel dates, jurisdiction and whether assistance or claims activity has occurred.

Buyer-initiated cancellation

The buyer should contact WinTravel support as soon as possible with the payment reference, traveler name and reason for cancellation. The applicable policy wording and local rules will determine the outcome.

Chargebacks

Buyers are encouraged to contact WinTravel first so eligibility, issuance or refund questions can be resolved directly before a payment dispute is opened.

Draft notice: final wording must be reviewed against the executed insurance distribution, data protection and assistance agreements before accepting live payments.
